REFUAH LONGEVITY CENTER
An advanced option, approached carefully.
Therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE), offered only after a thorough candidacy review and informed consent.
What it is, honestly
TPE devices are FDA-cleared, and TPE is an established treatment for specific medical conditions. Its use for longevity or healthy aging is off-label and investigational. We do not promise outcomes.
How it works
- Candidacy consultation with a physician
- Pre-treatment labs
- Session of about 2–4 hours
- Recovery and post-treatment labs
- Results review and next-step discussion
Inquire.
Risks can include low blood pressure, bleeding, infection, allergic reaction and electrolyte changes. Informed consent is required; registry or IRB participation is under consideration.
The candidacy flow
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Candidacy consult (60 min) | History, goals, contraindications, and a frank discussion of the evidence and its limits. |
| 2. Pre-labs | CBC, coagulation, protein/albumin, calcium, lipids, inflammation and IgG levels. |
| 3. Session (2–4 h) | Apheresis-trained nurse, physician available on site, continuous monitoring, private suite. |
| 4. Recovery and post-labs | Observation for citrate-related symptoms, low blood pressure and access issues. |
| 5. Review | Cadence decided with your physician. No outcome is promised. |
Who may not be a candidate
People with certain bleeding or clotting disorders, unstable heart conditions, poor vein access, active infection or pregnancy, among others. Your physician decides.
